Ubiquinol is the reduced active form of Co-enzyme Q10 (ubiquinone), and as such, it is essential for the cellular energy production cycle (ATP-adenosine triphosphate).

Ubiquinol is a fat-soluble enzyme, which works in unison with the mitochondria (in cells) for the production of energy through its antioxidant action.
